Best Friends and Babies

Bransen and baby A~ are destined to always be challenging eachother... Baby A~ belongs to Robbie's best friend who lives in Wyoming. They came down to visit for Memorial Day and we had the chance to visit with them Sunday evening. Robbie and friend L~ have been best friends since the day they were born. (Best of friends that one of our future children will carry his name)!! Baby A~ is almost 5 months old and the dads insisted that they wrestle. As much as I love Bransen, I'd have to give this match to A~. Bransen cried through the whole thing... We love when L&L come down to visit. Maybe one of these days we'll venture up to Wyoming and visit them!

Weekend Festivities...

Friday night we went Bowling with W&N and kids and new marrieds J&C. We took tons of pictures but most of them were blurry and red eyed. So we just included a few... Bransen loved watching his cousin push the ball down the lane. Sad to say... S~ and K~ got a higher score than most of the adults. But... the bowling title definately goes to Chels... She kicked butt!! Saturday we had plans to go down to IKEA with my siblings, plans changed for a few, but Rob and I still made it. That store is gigantic. We bought a few dollar items but got some cool ideas for our new house. I wouldn't mind going back out there when we actually know where we are going to live and what kinds of things we need. After IKEA, we made plans with some of Robbie's friends that live in Lehi to go to dinner. We had about 45 minutes to waste before "the friends" were ready to meet us. So we stopped by Thanksgiving Point and took some pictures of the gorgeous waterfall and of course my handsome boys....

House for Sale!

We've finally got our house up for sale! As many of you know, Robbie has been working in Park City for the last 9 months (and has an hour drive each way, everyday)! I've made the drive a few times as we've begun our house hunting and it was made me apprieciate my husband more for what he does everyday. I don't know how he's made it this long!! Thanks Sweets a Treats! Robbie will be done with his Masters program in December and has already been hired for the upcoming school year, teaching a variety of health classes. So we've decided that it's time to move closer to his work. We love our house and our neighborhood, but there comes a time when you have to move on to bigger and better things! (Let's hope that's what happens)!! I really appreciate everything Robbie does for our family. He drives endless hours to work, stays extremely busy with his job, writes endless amounts of papers for school and still finds the time for all the little husband duties that I require of him! Anyway - If you hear of anyone that is looking to buy a beautiful home... send them our way! And a just because I love him....and appreciate all that he does for me - I want to include a picture of my handsome, wonderful, thoughtful, hardworking husband. (This is the first picture we took shortly after I knew that I loved him!*) *Sidenote to readers who are unfamiliary with our story - this was TWO WEEKS after are first date!

Kindergarten Graduate!!

My adorable, sweet, cute, beautiful niece graduated from Kindergarten today! I can't believe she is old enough to be moving on to 1st Grade. She is so smart, so kind, an awesome big sister and the cutest niece a person could have!! We love her and are so proud of her!! Sorry we couldn't be there! BIRTHDAY PARTY!

For Bransens birthday this year we were able to get both families together for a BBQ, presents and cake. The food was yummy, the presents were awesome (thanks family) and the cake was so cute. I asked my mom to make a "turtle" cake because I lack in the necessary "homemaking" skills to take on such a task. It turned out so cute!!

As many of you know, Bransen doesn't like to eat normal food - (even if it is full of sugar) - Instead of devouring it like most babies would, he decided if was funner to throw it at his cousins. So, the cake "eating" didn't last too long! We are so thankful for our wonderful family and the love they have for us and Brans!

Baby Bran Bran is ONE!

It’s crazy how fast time flies and amazing how your little one grows so fast. One year ago (on Tuesday, I'm a little late posting) I was as big as a whale ("canks" included) and would have given anything to get my child out! We were scheduled to start my labor on Mother’s Day last year. We finally got checked into the hospital at about 11:00 am. 2 hours later, I had my epidural. And a few minutes after that, they broke my water. After a few minor back aches and a couple of pushes, sweet baby Bransen joined as shortly after 7:00 pm. He weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and was 21 inches. Thankfully he came without any difficulty or trouble. I hope all my labors are that easy!! So, although Mother’s Day is special to all Mom’s, I became a mother on Mother’s Day and he was definitely the best Mother’s Day gift I could of ever imagined! (*Although, Robbie did supply me with a case of Mountain Dew at the Hospital, and that gift comes in at a close second).

Nikki Tagged Me! Oh Great!

4 Things... 4 things I was doing 10 years ago... (a whopping 14 years old) 1. Playing basketball, volleyball and any other team sport imaginable every day after school, most nights and weekends! 2. Devoting any spare time I had to my friends, parties and a not so ideal boyfriend. 3. I was in Student Government at NDJH, and thought we ran the school! (Yeah right!) 4. I thought missing a party or sleepover, would be with end of my life! (Oh, teenage drama) 4 things I was doing 5 years ago... (19 years old) 1. Trying to attend college, (paying for it myself) and quitting shortly thereafter! 2. Dating a variety of young men, and easily deciphering between good and bad qualities of a future spouse. 3. Working for a City Recreation Department, refereeing youth sports and being an eye witness to crazy parents who have the worst sportsmanship imaginable. 4. Teaching PE at an Elementary School where I learned the meaning of unconditional love. 4 things I like to watch... (*Although I hate to acknowledge the fact, Robbie and I are reality TV junkies. If we aren’t home to watch it, we record it for later viewing) With the above in mind; Survivor, Biggest Loser, Jazz Games, Big Brother, Amazing Race, The Bachelor, etc... and... The Office of course! 4 things that make me happy... 1. A baby that sleeps through the night 2. Hearing Bransen laugh when playing with his daddy 3. When Robbie attends to baby needs while I sleep in on a Saturday morning (a rare but much need, pleasant occasion) 4. Being a wife and mother to a wonderful husband and son Let's see; I tag Megan O, Melissa B and Chelsea W (double tag with Nikki's, get goin' Chels!!)

Wedding and Kisses

Jordan and Chelsea and married! It was a beautiful day and they looked absolutely gorgeous!! We are so excited to have Chelsea in our family. They had a ton of family and friends at the Temple with them and it was so wonderful to see all the people that truly adore these two. My personal biggest accomplishment for the day: Supplying my child with as many marshmellows as need to keep him still during family pictures! (The same game plan is anticipated for tonights reception pictures) All the babies were so good all day long!! Bransen's new trick - We've been working really hard on this one;

Happy Mother's Day

As I have tried to decide what I/we (Bransen and I) would get Shaylyn for Mother's Day, I thought that one thing I could do would be to publicly thank her for all she does and tell her how much I love her. She has become a blog-aholic, and I know she will appreciate this. I want to start by telling you how much she does for me and our family. Besides her loving charm and constant effort in bettering our home, she finds time to work (not for long) and get up late at night with our little non-sleeper. She is always trying and by that I mean that she never gives up. She works hard at whatever task she has before her, weather it's a church lesson or studying for a exam, even laundry, shay will always put forth her best effort. I appreciate the love she has for both of our families, she is happy to help anyone and loves spending time with family. Shaylyn supports me with my work and education. She is understanding and loves me for who I am. I fell in love with her from day one and can not imagine my life without her. She truly is the love of my life and I'm so glad I found her. I also want to wish all mother's out there and very Happy Mother's Day and thank you for all you do! Love, Robbie P.s. - I Love You Shaylyn.

Arizona - Day One

We are in sunny (80 degrees) Arizona!! Such happiness and bliss to leave the dreary, cold, snowy SLC airport this morning.

Shortly after we landed - we made our way to the rental car airport! (Seriously, you go from the actually airport to what seems to be a *RENTAL CAR AIRPORT! It was huge and the whole complex is full of people and cars. I've never seen anything like it! We originally reserved a small compact car (because it's cheaper of course). Robbie got to the front of the line and the clerk told him they didn't have any compact cars left* (Please refer to the RENTAL CAR AIRPORT remark - there were millions of cars, but they didn't have a compact car? Ahh, yeah right!) Anyway - so we were rewarded with a mini van. YAHOO! I don't mind it much, although our first thought was the increase gas price. We dealt with it and went on our way.

We successfully drove to our Hotel (which is absolutely beautiful, considered a Castle in comparison to the Motel 6 that I'm used to). While checking in, the clerk told us that our room hadn't been cleaned yet and wasn't ready for us. We didn't mind - we were already driving a MINI, what's another set back!!! The clerk did a little room searching and said, "We do have a Suite room available, would you like to upgrade for free?" Ah, duh, of course! The clerk started to describe a little about the "Suite"... separate living room, kitchenette, King size bed, JACUZZI! Robbie's expression was priceless. Here's a few pictures;
