Seriously...

So - most Sunday mornings my wonderful husband lets me close my eyes for a few mintues longer to help compensate for the last 5 months of sleepless nights. Well this last Sunday, I was doing just that while Robbie was administering breakfast to the boys. A few minutes into my "sleeping in" Robbie calls from downstairs that I need to see this. "What now!" I ask myself. Well... for those that are unaware - we recently moved to a beautiful, SPACIOUS, LARGE, WIDE-OPEN, LOTS OF EMPTY LAND everywhere, valley. So we were stumped when this local business chose our driveway.....

Robbie to balloon guy: "What's the cost?"
Balloon guy proceeds to tell Robbie an outrageous amount per person.
Robbie then repsonded, "Any discounts for using our driveway!!?
.nope.

Christmas Present

Robbie surprised me this year with the best gift ever, an amazing video of Bransen's time in the hospital earlier this year. (**Please ignore the fact that I am gi-normous pregnant in most pictures!)

As many of you know, our lives changed dramatically with Bransen's CF diagnosis. We've been blessed beyond measure with love, support (both emotionally and financially) and we are so thankful. There have been family members, friends, co-workers, ward members and complete strangers that have reached out to us and given us strength.

Bransen is doing amazingly well and his doctors are happy with his progress thus far. We couldn't ask for a cuter, smarter more amazing little boy than he is.

Oh, and we love Kohler too!!

Bad Mother Moment

While attending to baby Kohler and after playing "Choo-Choo" all afternoon, Bransen loudly whined from the living room for help. Usually, I tend to his needs right away. But, this afternoon was definitely one of those "I'm tired and I've done all I can do" and "Please stop whining about every little thing" days. After asking Bransen many times to please be patient, my own patience wore thin and I told him very sternly;
"Bransen, STOP WHINING and BE QUIET!"
Which he gracefully does within seconds.
15 minutes later....
I'm done feeding Kohler (a.k.a "The Rice Cereal Champ") and start to clean up the lunch dishes. While at the kitchen sink, Bransen sluggishly comes in and says sadly, "Mom, I done." Done with what? I ask myself. I follow him into the fore mentioned room to find the following;
(i still have not located the missing piece)
My stomach sank... Poor kid just wanted help with his puzzle. I felt so bad but was thrilled that he did it all by himself. A few high fives, "Good Boy Bransen", hugs and kisses later... We both felt better and re-made the puzzle together.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse taught me a lesson
Take the time to witness the small and simple things
Don't be too busy or too tired and miss out on something amazing
(p.s. Bransen is sticking crayons in my pockets, my ears, my hair, my mouth and nose as we speak!)
I'm gonna go color now.
