Minor Clarification

Just one minor clarification to Robbie’s post - Although Bransen seems to love to - play in, with and around "Eljer" -

WE DON’T LET HIM!!!

Now that it is understood that we are actually responsible parents that don't let our child play in filth - we can move on...
Jordan and Chelsea are getting married in about a week!

We went to a shower for Chels with weekend - her family had the cutest decorations, yummy food and fun game!! I am so excited for her to be part of our family - she is so good for Jordan, she is beautiful, smart, witty, fun and puts up with Jordan (what else can we ask for)!

Growing up with 3 brothers was awful - but I have greatly been rewarded when my brothers married amazing girls to become my wonderful sister-in-laws. And then ... I married an incredible man that gave me even more wonderful sister-in-laws.

I'll post wedding pictures soon!!

Robbie's First Blog (i'm not a Virgin anymore)

Well here I am, I can't believe we have stepped into the new reality of communication. Forget a good old fashioned phone call or even a Christmas card letter with the yearly update now it's a moment by moment action shot of our lives and you just tuned in. and to top it all off you get to leave little "comments" about how well I presented my thoughts. It's like I'm having some other person give feedback on my personal journal entries. So here you are, either take it or leave it... To start off i would like to discuss a possible name for one of our future children (No i am not making any announcements, I just think this is a funny story) now this would have to be a boy name considering the location of its origin. The other day I asked Shaylyn where Bransen was, she said 'He's playing with his friend Eljer.' 'Who's that?' I replied, with a very confused look. 'The toilet, that's the name on it.' Then she proceeded to laugh hysterically. Needless to say she was right. Bransen loves to play in, with and around the toilet (We'll see how good of friends they still are when it comes time for potty training). Now this is where my story begins...the other day while using the bathroom, I was brought back to this occurrence and as I glanced down (doesn't that paint a picture you didn't want to imagine) any-who, as I glanced down I notice the letters K*O*H*L*E*R. Kohler that's it! No sooner did I approach Shaylyn with that name and she approved. I could not help but laugh. She asked what I was laughing about and I had to tell her I just read it off of a brand of urinals. Sad to say but she still really likes it. so some day there might just be a Kohler Rauzi. Oh dear... Just For Fun... Here are some of my favorite Youtube vids for this week:

I apologize for any misguided humor in advance!

It WAS warm outside!

We had such a nice day outside last week that we decided to take advantage of it while it lasted. We took Bransen on a walk in his new stroller, stopped and played at the park and came home and let him swing in his tree swing! He has since "pointed and whimperd" each time the swing is visible to him. Needless to say... I can't wait for summer!!

Robbie and I are going to Arizona in a couple weeks for a training that he has. I am so excited to be able to go with him get away for a few days with my sweet husband. And bask in all the warm sun that Arizona has to offer. Bransen gets to sleep over at both Grandma's houses while we are away! He loves his Grandma's and Grandpa's so much and they are so good to him. We are pretty lucky to have the family that we do!

Laundry - the Devil in disguise

Most wife/motherly household chores I can handle!! Kitchen = no problem, Bathroom = bearable, Dirty Diapers = acceptable, Vacuuming = tolerable… And then there’s Laundry. I consider laundry to be one of the most evil things on this earth. I can’t explain the pain and anguish that I feel knowing there are piles of dirty clothes on the basement floor calling my name. The problem is… laundry is not hard, laundry is not complicated – Laundry is NEVER ENDING and I have a difficult time with that. The minute I think I’m “caught up” with the laundry, I open the hall closet and lo and behold…dirty clothes have mysteriously appeared. But… with that, another problem arises. There isn’t enough of one color to justify starting a load. So, you have to make yet another pile, until it gets large enough to make a load. After the load is complete and washed – yet another torment… FOLDING!! The clean clothes sit in laundry baskets until the basket is needed to transport the dirty clothes to the basement floor. It is only then, that the clean clothes find the correct drawers. I have piles of dirty laundry downstairs, piles of clean laundry upstairs and it’s driving me mad. Maybe I should just sort them, load them, rotate them and them actually fold them and stop complaining! But, then again – it’ll be there tomorrow and the next day and the next day and the next day and the next….
